He said to them, ‘You go into my vineyard as well, and I will give you whatever is right.’


“Be dressed for service and keep your lamps burning,


So will it be on the day when the Son of Man is revealed.


Instead, would yoʋ not say to him, ‘Prepare my supper. Put on yoʋr apron and serve me while I eat and drink; after that yoʋ may eat and drink’?


Let us walk properly, as in the day, not in revelries and drinking bouts, not in illicit affairs and sensual indulgences, not in strife and jealousy.


The creation waits with eager longing for the sons of God to be revealed.


so that you are not lacking in any gift as you eagerly await the revelation of our Lord Jesus Christ.


And now faith, hope, and love abide, these three; but the greatest of these is love.


Stand firm therefore by fastening the belt of truth around your waist, putting on the breastplate of righteousness,


When Christ, who is our life, is revealed, then you also will be revealed with him in glory.


and to give to you who are being afflicted relief along with us at the revelation of the Lord Jesus from heaven with his mighty angels.


But as for yoʋ, be sober-minded in all things, endure hardship, do the work of an evangelist, and fulfill yoʋr ministry.


There is now laid up for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will give to me on that day, and not only to me, but also to all who have longed for his appearing.


Therefore do not throw away your confidence, which has a great reward.


But Christ is faithful over God's house as a Son. And we are his house if indeed we hold our confidence firm to the end along with the hope in which we boast.


We have this hope as a sure and steadfast anchor for the soul. It enters into the inner sanctuary behind the veil,


so also Christ, having been offered once to bear the sins of many, will appear a second time, not to bear sin, but to bring salvation to those who are eagerly waiting for him.


Concerning this salvation, the prophets who prophesied about the grace that would come to you searched and carefully investigated,


but sanctify the Lord God in your hearts. Always be ready to make a defense to anyone who asks you for an explanation of the hope you have within you, with gentleness and respect,


The end of all things has drawn near. Therefore be alert and sober-minded for the sake of your prayers.


Through Silvanus, whom I regard as a faithful brother, I have written to you briefly, encouraging you and testifying that this is the true grace of God in which you stand.


Be sober-minded and watchful; your adversary the devil walks around like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour.


Everyone who places this hope in him purifies himself, just as he is pure.
