so that all the able men who were doing every sort of task on the sanctuary came, each from the task that he was doing,


A man is commended according to his good sense, but one of perverse mind is despised.


To make an apt answer is a joy to a man, and a word in season, how good it is!


He who tends a fig tree will eat its fruit, and he who guards his master will be honored.


She rises while it is yet night and provides food for her household and tasks for her maidens.


The Lord God has given me the tongue of those who are taught, that I may know how to sustain with a word him that is weary. Morning by morning he wakens, he wakens my ear to hear as those who are taught.


I will set shepherds over them who will care for them, and they shall fear no more, nor be dismayed, neither shall any be missing, says the Lord.


You eat the fat, you clothe yourselves with the wool, you slaughter the fatlings; but you do not feed the sheep.


And he said to them, “Therefore every scribe who has been trained for the kingdom of heaven is like a householder who brings out of his treasure what is new and what is old.”


And when evening came, the owner of the vineyard said to his steward, ‘Call the laborers and pay them their wages, beginning with the last, up to the first.’


Blessed is that servant whom his master when he comes will find so doing.


And when the Lord saw her, he had compassion on her and said to her, “Do not weep.”


And John, calling to him two of his disciples, sent them to the Lord, saying, “Are you he who is to come, or shall we look for another?”


Take heed to yourselves and to all the flock, in which the Holy Spirit has made you overseers, to care for the church of God which he obtained with the blood of his own Son.


if I am delayed, you may know how one ought to behave in the household of God, which is the church of the living God, the pillar and bulwark of the truth.


Let the elders who rule well be considered worthy of double honor, especially those who labor in preaching and teaching;


preach the word, be urgent in season and out of season, convince, rebuke, and exhort, be unfailing in patience and in teaching.


For a bishop, as God's steward, must be blameless; he must not be arrogant or quick-tempered or a drunkard or violent or greedy for gain,


Obey your leaders and submit to them; for they are keeping watch over your souls, as men who will have to give account. Let them do this joyfully, and not sadly, for that would be of no advantage to you.


Remember your leaders, those who spoke to you the word of God; consider the outcome of their life, and imitate their faith.


Now Moses was faithful in all God's house as a servant, to testify to the things that were to be spoken later,


As each has received a gift, employ it for one another, as good stewards of God's varied grace:
