There the wicked cease from troubling, and there the weary are at rest.


It is like the precious oil upon the head, running down upon the beard, upon the beard of Aaron, running down on the collar of his robes!


The light of the eyes rejoices the heart, and good news refreshes the bones.


A good name is to be chosen rather than great riches, and favor is better than silver or gold.


lest he who hears you bring shame upon you, and your ill repute have no end.


Oil and perfume make the heart glad, but the soul is torn by trouble.


Dead flies make the perfumer's ointment give off an evil odor; so a little folly outweighs wisdom and honor.


And I thought the dead who are already dead more fortunate than the living who are still alive;


Better is the end of a thing than its beginning; and the patient in spirit is better than the proud in spirit.


your anointing oils are fragrant, your name is oil poured out; therefore the maidens love you.


How sweet is your love, my sister, my bride! how much better is your love than wine, and the fragrance of your oils than any spice!
