Do thou from trouble give us help, for helpless is man's aid.


I look'd on my right hand, and view'd, but none to know me were; All refuge failed me, no man did for my soul take care.


My fortress is the Lord, My rock, and he that doth to me deliverance afford: My God, my strength, whom I will trust, a buckler unto me, The horn of my salvation, and my high tow'r, is he.


JEHOVAH hear thee in the day when trouble he doth send: And let the name of Jacob's God thee from all ill defend.


Thou art my hiding-place, thou shalt from trouble keep me free: Thou with songs of deliverance about shalt compass me.


But the salvation of the just is from the Lord above; He in the time of their distress their stay and strength doth prove.


God is our refuge and our strength, in straits a present aid;


The Lord of hosts upon our side doth constantly remain: The God of Jacob's our refuge, us safely to maintain.


The Lord within her palaces is for a refuge known.


And call upon me when in trouble thou shalt be; I will deliver thee, and thou my name shalt glorify.
