But I have all my confidence thy mercy set upon; My heart within me shall rejoice in thy salvation.


I will unto the Lord my God sing praises cheerfully, Because he hath his bounty shown to me abundantly.


The words which from my mouth proceed, the thoughts sent from my heart, Accept, O Lord, for thou my strength and my Redeemer art.


The king in thy great strength, O Lord, shall very joyful be: In thy salvation rejoice how veh'mently shall he!


Our fathers hop'd in thee, they hop'd and thou didst them release.


Their strength is God alone: He also is the saving strength of his anointed one.


Yet thou my shield and glory art, th' uplifter of mine head.


I cry'd, and, from his holy hill, the Lord me answer made.


Sith in his holy name we trust, our heart shall joyful be.


But the salvation of the just is from the Lord above; He in the time of their distress their stay and strength doth prove.


He put a new song in my mouth, our God to magnify: Many shall see it, and shall fear, and on the Lord rely.


For thou the God art of my strength; why thrusts thou me thee fro'? For th' enemy's oppression why do I mourning go?


God is our refuge and our strength, in straits a present aid;


Therefore, although the earth remove, we will not be afraid: Though hills amidst the seas be cast;


The name of God I with a song most cheerfully will praise; And I, in giving thanks to him, his name shall highly raise.


For God the Lord's a sun and shield: he'll grace and glory give; And will withhold no good from them that uprightly do live.


His feathers shall thee hide; thy trust under his wings shall be: His faithfulness shall be a shield and buckler unto thee.
