for they refreshed my spirit as well as yours. So give recognition to such persons.


For if I cause you pain, who is there to make me glad but the one whom I have pained?


In this we find comfort. In addition to our own consolation, we rejoiced still more at the joy of Titus, because his mind has been set at rest by all of you.


For God is my witness, how I long for all of you with the compassion of Christ Jesus.


Therefore, my brothers and sisters, whom I love and long for, my joy and crown, stand firm in the Lord in this way, my beloved.


I am sending him, that is, my own heart, back to you.


I have indeed received much joy and encouragement from your love, because the hearts of the saints have been refreshed through you, my brother.


Obey your leaders and submit to them, for they are keeping watch over your souls and will give an account. Let them do this with joy and not with sighing—for that would be harmful to you.


How does God's love abide in anyone who has the world's goods and sees a brother or sister in need and yet refuses help?


I have no greater joy than this, to hear that my children are walking in the truth.
