For though you might have ten thousand guardians in Christ, you do not have many fathers. Indeed, in Christ Jesus I became your father through the gospel.


I myself, Paul, appeal to you by the meekness and gentleness of Christ—I who am humble when face to face with you, but bold toward you when I am away!—


You yourselves are our letter, written on our hearts, to be known and read by all;


otherwise, if some Macedonians come with me and find that you are not ready, we would be humiliated—to say nothing of you—in this undertaking.


Listen! I, Paul, am telling you that if you let yourselves be circumcised, Christ will be of no benefit to you.
