For they have refreshed both my spirit and yours. Know them, therefore, that are such.


For if I make you sorrowful, who is he then that can make me glad, but the same who is made sorrowful by me?


Before God: therefore we were comforted. But in our consolation, we did the more abundantly rejoice for the joy of Titus, because his spirit was refreshed by you all.


For God is my witness, how I long after you all in the bowels of Jesus Christ.


Therefore, my dearly beloved brethren, and most desired, my joy and my crown; so stand fast in the Lord, my dearly beloved.


Whom I have sent back to thee. And do thou receive him as my own bowels.


For I have had great joy and consolation in thy charity, because the bowels of the saints have been refreshed by thee, brother.


Obey your prelates, and be subject to them. For they watch as being to render an account of your souls; that they may do this with joy, and not with grief. For this is not expedient for you.


He that hath the substance of this world, and shall see his brother in need, and shall shut up his bowels from him: how doth the charity of God abide in him?


I have no greater grace than this, to hear that my children walk in truth.
