“For it is as if a man, going on a journey, summoned his slaves and entrusted his property to them;


So he said, “A nobleman went to a distant country to get royal power for himself and then return.


When the season came, he sent a slave to the tenants in order that they might give him his share of the produce of the vineyard; but the tenants beat him and sent him away empty-handed.


Then Jesus said to them, “Neither will I tell you by what authority I am doing these things.”


You shall appoint judges and officials throughout your tribes, in all your towns that the Lord your God is giving you, and they shall render just decisions for the people.
