Sihon king of the Amorites, Og king of Bashan, and all the kings of Canaan –


and Og king of Bashan – His love endures for ever.


Many bulls surround me; strong bulls of Bashan encircle me.


Mount Bashan, majestic mountain, Mount Bashan, rugged mountain,


The Lord says, ‘I will bring them from Bashan; I will bring them from the depths of the sea,


The land dries up and wastes away, Lebanon is ashamed and withers; Sharon is like the Arabah, and Bashan and Carmel drop their leaves.


Of oaks from Bashan they made your oars; of cypress wood from the coasts of Cyprus they made your deck, adorned with ivory.


You will eat the flesh of mighty men and drink the blood of the princes of the earth as if they were rams and lambs, goats and bulls – all of them fattened animals from Bashan.


Hear this word, you cows of Bashan on Mount Samaria, you women who oppress the poor and crush the needy and say to your husbands, ‘Bring us some drinks!’

and all that he did to the two kings of the Amorites east of the Jordan – Sihon king of Heshbon, and Og king of Bashan, who reigned in Ashtaroth.
