After he has suffered, he will see the light of life and be satisfied; by his knowledge my righteous servant will justify many, and he will bear their iniquities.


‘In my vision at night I looked, and there before me was one like a son of man, coming with the clouds of heaven. He approached the Ancient of Days and was led into his presence.


When Jesus came to the region of Caesarea Philippi, he asked his disciples, ‘Who do people say the Son of Man is?’


‘When the Son of Man comes in his glory, and all the angels with him, he will sit on his glorious throne.


‘You have said so,’ Jesus replied. ‘But I say to all of you: from now on you will see the Son of Man sitting at the right hand of the Mighty One and coming on the clouds of heaven.’


Then Jesus came to them and said, ‘All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me.


News about him spread all over Syria, and people brought to him all who were ill with various diseases, those suffering severe pain, the demon-possessed, those having seizures, and the paralysed; and he healed them.


But I want you to know that the Son of Man has authority on earth to forgive sins.’ So he said to the paralysed man, ‘Get up, take your mat and go home.’


Jesus reached out his hand and touched the man. ‘I am willing,’ he said. ‘Be clean!’ And immediately the leprosy left him.


Some men came carrying a paralysed man on a mat and tried to take him into the house to lay him before Jesus.


Which is easier: to say, “Your sins are forgiven,” or to say, “Get up and walk”?


Then he went up and touched the bier they were carrying him on, and the bearers stood still. He said, ‘Young man, I say to you, get up!’


But he took her by the hand and said, ‘My child, get up!’


When he had said this, Jesus called in a loud voice, ‘Lazarus, come out!’


For you granted him authority over all people that he might give eternal life to all those you have given him.


No-one has ever gone into heaven except the one who came from heaven – the Son of Man.


And he has given him authority to judge because he is the Son of Man.


and called out, ‘Stand up on your feet!’ At that, the man jumped up and began to walk.


God exalted him to his own right hand as Prince and Saviour that he might bring Israel to repentance and forgive their sins.
