But if he says, “I am not pleased with you,” then I am ready; let him do to me whatever seems good to him.’


Do not be stiff-necked, as your ancestors were; submit to the Lord. Come to his sanctuary, which he has consecrated for ever. Serve the Lord your God, so that his fierce anger will turn away from you.


and said: ‘Naked I came from my mother’s womb, and naked I shall depart. The Lord gave and the Lord has taken away; may the name of the Lord be praised.’


Say to God, ‘How awesome are your deeds! So great is your power that your enemies cringe before you.


Rebuke the beast among the reeds, the herd of bulls among the calves of the nations. Humbled, may the beast bring bars of silver. Scatter the nations who delight in war.


Say to the king and to the queen mother, ‘Come down from your thrones, for your glorious crowns will fall from your heads.’
