Now let the fear of the Lord be on you. Judge carefully, for with the Lord our God there is no injustice or partiality or bribery.’


These also are sayings of the wise: To show partiality in judging is not good:


To show partiality is not good – yet a person will do wrong for a piece of bread.


‘ “Do not pervert justice; do not show partiality to the poor or favouritism to the great, but judge your neighbour fairly.


They sent their disciples to him along with the Herodians. ‘Teacher,’ they said, ‘we know that you are a man of integrity and that you teach the way of God in accordance with the truth. You aren’t swayed by others, because you pay no attention to who they are.


Then Peter began to speak: ‘I now realise how true it is that God does not show favouritism


I have declared to both Jews and Greeks that they must turn to God in repentance and have faith in our Lord Jesus.


Several days later Felix came with his wife Drusilla, who was Jewish. He sent for Paul and listened to him as he spoke about faith in Christ Jesus.

If you show special attention to the man wearing fine clothes and say, ‘Here’s a good seat for you,’ but say to the poor man, ‘You stand there’ or ‘Sit on the floor by my feet,’


But if you show favouritism, you sin and are convicted by the law as law-breakers.


But the wisdom that comes from heaven is first of all pure; then peace-loving, considerate, submissive, full of mercy and good fruit, impartial and sincere.


Simon Peter, a servant and apostle of Jesus Christ, To those who through the righteousness of our God and Saviour Jesus Christ have received a faith as precious as ours:


These people are grumblers and fault-finders; they follow their own evil desires; they boast about themselves and flatter others for their own advantage.


This calls for patient endurance on the part of the people of God who keep his commands and remain faithful to Jesus.
