‘Look at the nations and watch – and be utterly amazed. For I am going to do something in your days that you would not believe, even if you were told.


Confessing their sins, they were baptised by him in the River Jordan.


And these signs will accompany those who believe: in my name they will drive out demons; they will speak in new tongues;


Those on the rocky ground are the ones who receive the word with joy when they hear it, but they have no root. They believe for a while, but in the time of testing they fall away.


For the Father loves the Son and shows him all he does. Yes, and he will show him even greater works than these, so that you will be amazed.


Jesus said to them, ‘I did one miracle, and you are all amazed.


On the next Sabbath almost the whole city gathered to hear the word of the Lord.


God did extraordinary miracles through Paul,


they recognised him as the same man who used to sit begging at the temple gate called Beautiful, and they were filled with wonder and amazement at what had happened to him.
