‘By all means, take two talents,’ said Naaman. He urged Gehazi to accept them, and then tied up the two talents of silver in two bags, with two sets of clothing. He gave them to two of his servants, and they carried them ahead of Gehazi.


Let us go to the Jordan, where each of us can get a pole; and let us build a place there for us to meet.’ And he said, ‘Go.’


And he went with them. They went to the Jordan and began to cut down trees.


‘But now be so kind as to look at me. Would I lie to your face?


Then Moses said to him, ‘If your Presence does not go with us, do not send us up from here.


So the two of them sat down to eat and drink together. Afterwards the woman’s father said, ‘Please stay tonight and enjoy yourself.’


Barak said to her, ‘If you go with me, I will go; but if you don’t go with me, I won’t go.’
