And Jacob said to Pharaoh, The days of the years of my pilgrimage are a hundred and thirty years. Few and evil have been the days of the years of my life, and I have not attained to the days of the years of the life of my fathers in the days of their pilgrimage.


For we are strangers before You, and pilgrims, as our fathers were. Our days on the earth are like a shadow, and none abides.


And now let the fear of Jehovah be on you. Be careful and act wisely, for there is no iniquity with Jehovah our God, nor respect of persons, nor taking of gifts.


How much less to Him who does not lift up the face of rulers, nor regard the rich before the poor? For all of them are the work of His hands.


Hear my prayer, O Jehovah, and give ear to my cry. Do not be silent at my tears; for I am a stranger with You, a pilgrim, as all my fathers were.


He shall cry to Me, My Father, You are my God, and the rock of my salvation.


A wise one fears and departs from evil, but the fool rages and is sure.


Blessed is the man dreading God, but he who hardens his heart shall fall into mischief.


But I said, How shall I put you among the sons, and give you a pleasant land, a beautiful inheritance among the hosts of nations? And I said, You shall call Me, My Father, and shall not turn away from Me.


For then I will give a clear lip to the people, to call all of them by the name of Jehovah, to serve Him with one shoulder.


For the Son of Man shall come in the glory of His Father with His angels, and then He shall reward each one according to his works.


And they sent their disciples out to Him along with the Herodians, saying, Master, we know that you are true, and that you teach the way of God in truth. Nor do you care for anyone, for you do not regard the person of men.


Therefore pray in this way: Our Father, who is in Heaven, Hallowed be Your name.


Well, because of unbelief they were broken off, and you stand by faith. Do not be high-minded, but fear.


Grace be unto you, and peace from God our Father and from the Lord Jesus Christ.


Then being always confident, knowing that while we are at home in the body, we are away from home from the Lord;


Then having these promises, dearly beloved, let us cleanse ourselves from all defilements of flesh and spirit, perfecting holiness in the fear of God.


For behold this same thing (you being grieved according to God); how much it worked out earnestness in you; but also defense; but also indignation; but also fear; but also desire; but also zeal; but also vengeance! In everything you approved yourselves to be clear in the matter.


But from those who seemed to be something (what kind they were then does not matter to me; God does not accept the face of man), for those seeming important conferred nothing to me.


that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give to you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of Him,


For this cause I bow my knees to the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ,


And masters, do the same things to them, forbearing threatening, knowing that your Master also is in Heaven. There is no respect of persons with Him.


For Jehovah your God is God of gods, and Lord of lords, a great God, the mighty, and a terrible God, who does not respect persons nor take a bribe.


Therefore, my beloved, as you have always obeyed, not as in my presence only, but now much more in my absence, cultivate your own salvation with fear and trembling.


But he who does wrong shall receive justice for the wrong which he did, and there is no respect of persons.


Therefore, since we are receiving a kingdom that cannot be shaken, let us have grace, by which we may serve God acceptably with reverence and godly fear,


Therefore, a promise being left to enter into His rest, let us fear lest any of you should seem to come short of it.


Dearly beloved, I exhort you as temporary residents and pilgrims to abstain from fleshly lusts which war against the soul,


but sanctify the Lord God in your hearts, and be ready always to give an answer to everyone who asks you a reason of the hope in you, with meekness and fear;
