So the spirit lifted me up, and took me away, and I went in bitterness, in the heat of my spirit; but the hand of the Lord was strong upon me.


Behold, I send you forth as sheep in the midst of wolves: be ye therefore wise as serpents, and harmless as doves.


And I persecuted this way unto the death, binding and delivering into prisons both men and women.


As for Saul, he made havoc of the church, entering into every house, and haling men and women committed them to prison.


And Saul, yet breathing out threatenings and slaughter against the disciples of the Lord, went unto the high priest,


But all that heard him were amazed, and said; Is not this he that destroyed them which called on this name in Jerusalem, and came hither for that intent, that he might bring them bound unto the chief priests?


And it came to pass, as Peter passed throughout all quarters, he came down also to the saints which dwelt at Lydda.


And he gave her his hand, and lifted her up; and when he had called the saints and widows, he presented her alive.


To all that be in Rome, beloved of God, called to be saints: Grace to you, and peace, from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.


that I may be delivered from them that do not believe in Judea; and that my service which I have for Jerusalem may be accepted of the saints;
