²¹ For these things, me the Jews, having seized in the temple, attempted to kill with their own hands.

And when the seven days were about completed, the Jews from Asia, having seen him in the temple, embroiled all the crowd, and put hands upon them,

And they heard him to this word, and lifted up their voices, saying, Take away such a one from the earth: for it is not suitable for him to live.

Asking favor against him, that he might send for him to Jerusalem, making an ambuscade to kill him in the way.
