the tents of Edom and the Ishmaelites, Moab and the Hagrites,

and have cast lots for my people, and have traded a boy for a prostitute, and have sold a girl for wine and have drunk it.


Thus says the Lord: “For three transgressions of Gaza, and for four, I will not revoke the punishment, because they carried into exile a whole people to deliver them up to Edom.


Thus says the Lord: “For three transgressions of Tyre, and for four, I will not revoke the punishment, because they delivered up a whole people to Edom, and did not remember the covenant of brotherhood.


Yet she became an exile; she went into captivity; her infants were dashed in pieces at the head of every street; for her honored men lots were cast, and all her great men were bound in chains.


This shall be their lot in return for their pride, because they taunted and boasted against the people of the Lord of hosts.
