They looked, but there was none to save; they cried to the Lord, but he did not answer them.


Now when all this was finished, all Israel who were present went out to the cities of Judah and broke in pieces the pillars and cut down the Asherim and broke down the high places and the altars throughout all Judah and Benjamin, and in Ephraim and Manasseh, until they had destroyed them all. Then all the people of Israel returned to their cities, every man to his possession.


Oh come, let us worship and bow down; let us kneel before the Lord, our Maker!


And the Lord will strike Egypt, striking and healing, and they will return to the Lord, and he will listen to their pleas for mercy and heal them.


You made a reservoir between the two walls for the water of the old pool. But you did not look to him who did it, or see him who planned it long ago.


And those who go astray in spirit will come to understanding, and those who murmur will accept instruction.”


Afterward the children of Israel shall return and seek the Lord their God, and David their king, and they shall come in fear to the Lord and to his goodness in the latter days.


“Come, let us return to the Lord; for he has torn us, that he may heal us; he has struck us down, and he will bind us up.


Thus says the Lord: “As the shepherd rescues from the mouth of the lion two legs, or a piece of an ear, so shall the people of Israel who dwell in Samaria be rescued, with the corner of a couch and part of a bed.


But as for me, I will look to the Lord; I will wait for the God of my salvation; my God will hear me.
