Abraham said, “I did it because I thought, ‘There is no fear of God at all in this place, and they will kill me because of my wife.’


He is not greater in this house than I am, nor has he kept back anything from me except you, because you are his wife. How then can I do this great wickedness and sin against God?”


if you are honest men, let one of your brothers remain confined where you are in custody, and let the rest go and carry grain for the famine of your households,


The former governors who were before me laid heavy burdens on the people and took from them for their daily ration forty shekels of silver. Even their servants lorded it over the people. But I did not do so, because of the fear of God.
