Ecclesiastes 12:13

He said, “Do not lay your hand on the boy or do anything to him, for now I know that you fear God, seeing you have not withheld your son, your only son, from me.”


and keep the charge of the Lord your God, walking in his ways and keeping his statutes, his commandments, his rules, and his testimonies, as it is written in the Law of Moses, that you may prosper in all that you do and wherever you turn,


And he said to man, ‘Behold, the fear of the Lord, that is wisdom, and to turn away from evil is understanding.’”


The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom; all those who practice it have a good understanding. His praise endures forever!


He fulfills the desire of those who fear him; he also hears their cry and saves them.


but the Lord takes pleasure in those who fear him, in those who hope in his steadfast love.


The fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge; fools despise wisdom and instruction.


The fear of the Lord leads to life, and whoever has it rests satisfied; he will not be visited by harm.


Let not your heart envy sinners, but continue in the fear of the Lord all the day.


I searched with my heart how to cheer my body with wine—my heart still guiding me with wisdom—and how to lay hold on folly, till I might see what was good for the children of man to do under heaven during the few days of their life.


I perceived that whatever God does endures forever; nothing can be added to it, nor anything taken from it. God has done it, so that people fear before him.


For when dreams increase and words grow many, there is vanity; but God is the one you must fear.


For who knows what is good for man while he lives the few days of his vain life, which he passes like a shadow? For who can tell man what will be after him under the sun?


It is good that you should take hold of this, and from that withhold not your hand, for the one who fears God shall come out from both of them.


Though a sinner does evil a hundred times and prolongs his life, yet I know that it will be well with those who fear God, because they fear before him.


Whoever keeps a command will know no evil thing, and the wise heart will know the proper time and the just way.


He has told you, O man, what is good; and what does the Lord require of you but to do justice, and to love kindness, and to walk humbly with your God?


And his mercy is for those who fear him from generation to generation.


“And now, Israel, what does the Lord your God require of you, but to fear the Lord your God, to walk in all his ways, to love him, to serve the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul,


You shall fear the Lord your God. You shall serve him and hold fast to him, and by his name you shall swear.


how on the day that you stood before the Lord your God at Horeb, the Lord said to me, ‘Gather the people to me, that I may let them hear my words, so that they may learn to fear me all the days that they live on the earth, and that they may teach their children so.’


You shall not add to the word that I command you, nor take from it, that you may keep the commandments of the Lord your God that I command you.


that you may fear the Lord your God, you and your son and your son’s son, by keeping all his statutes and his commandments, which I command you, all the days of your life, and that your days may be long.


Honor everyone. Love the brotherhood. Fear God. Honor the emperor.


And from the throne came a voice saying, “Praise our God, all you his servants, you who fear him, small and great.”


Only fear the Lord and serve him faithfully with all your heart. For consider what great things he has done for you.
