My friend speaks for me\par while my eyes pour out tears to God.\par


My eyes have become almost blind\par because I am very sad and in great pain.\par My whole body has become very thin,\par like a shadow.\par


But God keeps their future a secret,\par and builds a wall around them\par to protect them.\par


My great sadness is my only food.\par My tears fall into my drinks.\par


Lord, I lift my arms and pray to you.\par I am waiting for your help,\par like a dry land waiting for rain.\par \i (SELAH {\cf2\super [644]})\i0 \par


My heart is pounding.\par My strength is gone,\par and I am going blind {\cf2\super [230]} .\par

Did we forget the name of our God?\par Did we pray to foreign gods?\par \{No!\}\par


I speak to God evening, morning, and noon.\par I tell him what upsets me,\par and he listens to me!\par


My enemies have given me many troubles.\par This made me very sad with grief.\par Now my eyes are weak from crying.\par
