The Lord loves me, so he rescued me. He took me to a safe place.


My eyes have become almost blind\par because I am very sad and in great pain.\par My whole body has become very thin,\par like a shadow.\par


Some of God’s people were prisoners,\par locked behind bars in dark, dark prisons.\par


I am innocent,\par so the Lord will give me my reward.\par I did nothing wrong,\par so he will do good things for me.\par


Then I can chase my enemies\par and catch them.\par I won’t come back\par until they are destroyed!\par


We have been pushed down into the dirt.\par We are lying with our belly in the dust. {\cf2\super [269]} \par


My enemies have given me many troubles.\par This made me very sad with grief.\par Now my eyes are weak from crying.\par


God, I suffer all day long.\par And you punish me every morning.\par
