But please listen to my prayer and my request. I am your servant, and you are the Lord my God. Hear this prayer that I am praying to you today.


Hezekiah the king and the prophet Isaiah son of Amoz prayed about this problem. They prayed very loudly to heaven.


My Master, I will open my mouth\par and sing your praises!\par


I speak to God evening, morning, and noon.\par I tell him what upsets me,\par and he listens to me!\par


My enemies are really smooth talkers;\par they talk about peace,\par but they are really planning wars.\par Their words are as slick as oil,\par but those words cut like a knife.\par

The Lord hates the offerings that evil people give. But the Lord is happy to hear a good person’s prayers.


Always turn to the Lord for help in everything you do, and you will be successful.


After I gave the deed to Baruch son of Neriah I prayed to the Lord. I said:

Don’t be like those people. Your Father knows the things you need before you ask him.


But the Lord answered her, “Martha, Martha, you are getting worried and upset about too many things.


Jesus said to his followers, “So I tell you, don’t worry about the food you need to live. Don’t worry about the clothes you need for your body.


So don’t always think about what you will eat or what you will drink. Don’t worry about it.


Then Jesus taught the followers that they should always pray and never lose hope. Jesus used this story to teach them:


God’s people shout to him night and day. God will always give his people what is right. God will not be slow to answer his people.


If you were a slave when God called you, don’t let that bother you. But if you can be free, then become free.


I want you to be free from worry. A man who is not married is busy with the Lord’s work. He is trying to please the Lord.


And you can help us with your prayers. Then many people will give thanks for us—that God blessed us because of their many prayers.


Always give thanks to God the Father for everything. Give him thanks in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ.


Pray in the Spirit at all times. Pray with all kinds of prayers, and ask for everything you need. To do this you must always be ready. Never give up. Always pray for all God’s people.


Let the peace that Christ gives control your thinking. You were all called together in one body {\cf2\super [19]} to have peace. Always be thankful.


Everything you say and everything you do should all be done for Jesus your Lord (Master). And in all you do, give thanks to God the Father through Jesus.


Continue praying. And when you pray, always thank God.


First, I tell you to pray for all people. Talk to God about them. Ask him for the things people need, and be thankful to him.


If a widow is really alone and without help, then she hopes in God \{to take care of her\}. That woman prays all the time, night and day. She asks God for help.


The time is near when all things will end. So keep your minds clear, and control yourselves. This will help you to pray.


Give all your worries to him, because he cares for you.
