I cried like a dove.\par I cried like a bird.\par My eyes became tired,\par but I continued looking to the heavens.\par My Master, I am so depressed.\par Promise to help me.”\par


After Jesus prayed a third time, he went back to his followers. Jesus said to them, “You are still sleeping and resting? That’s enough! The time has come for the Son of Man {\cf2\super [208]} to be given to sinful people.


“The tax collector {\cf2\super [288]} stood alone too. But when he prayed, he would not even look up to heaven. The tax collector felt very humble before God. He said, ‘O God, have mercy on me. I am a sinner!’


I was with you every day in the temple {\cf2\super [363]} area. Why didn’t you try to arrest me there? But this is your time—the time when darkness (sin) rules.”


When Jesus heard this he said, “The end of this sickness will not be death. But this sickness is for the glory of God. This has happened to bring glory to the Son of God.”


So they moved the stone away from the entrance. Then Jesus looked up and said, “Father, I thank you that you heard me.


Jesus said to them, “Now is the time for the Son of Man {\cf2\super [200]} to receive his glory.


It was almost time for the Jewish Passover {\cf2\super [207]} festival. Jesus knew that it was time for him to leave this world. It was now time for Jesus to go back to the Father. Jesus had always loved those people in the world who were his. Now was the time Jesus showed them his love the most.


Listen to me. A time is coming when you will be scattered. Each of you will be scattered to his own home. That time is now here. You will leave me. I will be alone. But I am never really alone, because the Father is with me.


When Jesus said this, the people tried to get him. But no person was able to touch Jesus. It was not yet the right time \{for Jesus to be killed\}.


Jesus was talking about the \{Holy\} Spirit. {\cf2\super [115]} The Spirit had not yet been given to people, because Jesus had not yet \{died and\} been raised to glory. But later, those people that believed in Jesus would receive the Spirit.


Jesus said these things while he was teaching in the temple {\cf2\super [132]} area. He was near the place where all the people came to give money. But no person arrested him. The right time for Jesus had not yet come.


No! God did it! He is the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob. {\cf2\super [52]} He is the God of all our fathers. {\cf2\super [53]} He gave glory to Jesus, his special servant. But you gave Jesus to be killed. Pilate decided to let Jesus go free. But you told Pilate you did not want Jesus.


You believe in God through Christ. God raised Christ from death. Then God gave glory to him. So your faith and your hope are in God.
