That person will pray to God,\par and God will answer his prayer.\par That person will shout with joy\par and worship God.\par He will live a good life again.\par


Sing to the Lord.\par Sing praises to him.\par Tell about all the amazing things he does.\par


I was in trouble\par so I called to the Lord for help.\par The Lord answered me\par and made me free.\par


Trapped, I called to the Lord for help.\par Yes, I called to my God.\par God was in his temple.\par He heard my voice.\par He heard my cry for help.\par


\{God says,\}\par “Call for me when you have troubles!\par I will help you.\par And then you can honor me.”\par


My followers will call to me for help,\par and I will answer them.\par I will be with them when they have trouble.\par I will rescue them and honor them.\par


Let’s sing songs of thanks to the Lord.\par Let’s sing happy songs of praise to him.\par


My servants will be happy with joy,\par but you evil people will cry with sadness. {\cf2\super [474]} \par Your spirits will be broken,\par and you will be very sad.\par


As they were drinking they were giving praise to their idol gods. They gave praise to those gods—and those gods were only statues made from gold, silver, bronze, iron, wood, and stone.


“Come, let’s go back to the Lord.\par He hurt us, but he will heal us.\par He wounded us,\par but he will put bandages on us.\par


“I was in very bad trouble.\par I called to the Lord for help,\par and he answered me!\par I was deep in the grave. {\cf2\super [8]} \par I cried to you, Lord,\par and you heard my voice!\par

All the people \{from other nations\}\par follow their own gods.\par But we will follow the Lord our God\par forever and ever! {\cf2\super [50]} \par


All the followers sang a song. Then they went out to the Mount of Olives. {\cf2\super [404]}


Jesus was full of pain; he struggled hard in prayer. Sweat dripped from his face like he was bleeding. {\cf2\super [359]}


Then this criminal said to Jesus, “Jesus, remember me when you begin ruling as king!”


So what should I do? I will pray with my spirit, but I will also pray with my mind. I will sing with my spirit, but I will also sing with my mind.


So, brothers and sisters, what should you do? When you meet together, one person has a song, another person has a teaching, another person has a new truth from God, another person speaks in a \{different\} language, and another person interprets that language. The purpose of all these things should be to help \{the church\} grow strong.


Communicate to each other with psalms, hymns, and spiritual songs. Sing and make music in your hearts to the Lord.


While Christ lived on earth he prayed to God and asked God for help. God is the One who could save him from death, and Jesus prayed to God with loud cries and tears. And God answered Jesus’ prayers because Jesus was humble and did everything God wanted.


Brothers and sisters, follow the example of the prophets {\cf2\super [27]} who spoke for the Lord (God). They suffered many bad things, but they were patient.


The people sang a new song before the throne and before the four living things and the elders. {\cf2\super [99]} The only people that could learn the new song were the 144,000 who had been redeemed (saved) from the earth. No one else could learn the song.


They shouted with a loud voice, “Victory belongs to our God, who sits on the throne, and to the Lamb.”
