I will tell the Lord about my problems.\par I will tell the Lord about my troubles.\par


Lord, I want to talk with you.\par I want to speak to you from my heart.\par I come before you to speak with you.\par


My heart breaks as I remember\par \{the good times I had at the temple\}:\par \{I remember\} passing through the crowds\par as I led them all up to God’s temple.\par \{I remember\} the happy songs of praise\par as the crowds celebrated the festivals.\par


\{God says,\}\par “Call for me when you have troubles!\par I will help you.\par And then you can honor me.”\par


I think about God,\par and I try to tell him how I feel.\par But I can’t.\par


Whenever God killed some of them,\par the others would turn back to him.\par They would come running back to God.\par


My followers will call to me for help,\par and I will answer them.\par I will be with them when they have trouble.\par I will rescue them and honor them.\par


These men said to Isaiah, “King Hezekiah has commanded that today will be a special day for sorrow and sadness. It will be a very sad day. It will be like a day when a child should be born, but is not strong enough to come from its mother’s body.


Those people talk to pieces of wood!\par They say, ‘You are my father.’\par Those people speak to a rock.\par They say, ‘You gave birth to me.’\par All those people will be ashamed.\par Those people don’t look at me.\par They have turned their backs to me.\par But when the people of Judah\par get into trouble, they say to me,\par ‘Come and save us!’\par


King, you live high on the mountain\par in your house made from cedar wood.\par It is almost like you live in Lebanon\par where that wood came from.\par \{You think you are safe,\par high on the mountain in your big house.\}\par But you will really groan\par when your punishment comes.\par You will hurt like a woman\par giving birth to a baby.”\par


Then you people will call my name. You will come to me and pray to me. And I will listen to you.


Get up! The people came to Moses and said, “We know that we sinned when we spoke against the Lord and against you. Pray to the Lord. Ask him to take away these snakes.” So Moses prayed for the people.


“I correct and punish those people that I love. So start trying hard! Change your hearts and lives!


But the people of Israel said to the Lord, “We have sinned. Do whatever you want to do to us. But please save us today.”


Hannah answered, “Sir, I have not drunk any wine or beer. I am deeply troubled. I was telling the Lord about all my problems.
