Be very careful to make everything exactly the way I showed you on the mountain.”

Build the Holy Tent [203] the way I showed you on the mountain.

So all the work on the Holy Tent, [471] that is, the Meeting Tent was finished. The people of Israel did everything exactly like the Lord had commanded Moses.

The people of Israel did all this work exactly like the Lord had commanded Moses.

Moses looked closely at all the work. Moses saw that the work was done exactly like the Lord had commanded. So Moses blessed them.

“Then they must gather together all the special things that are used for worship in the Holy Place. [59] They must gather them together and wrap them in a blue cloth. Then they must cover that with fine leather. [60] They must put these things on a frame for carrying them.

This is how the lampstand was made: It was made from hammered gold, all the way from the gold base {at the bottom} to the gold flowers {at the top}. It looked just like the pattern that the Lord had shown to Moses.

“The Holy Tent {\cf2\super [144]} was with our ancestors in the desert. God told Moses how to make this tent. He made it like the plan that God showed him.

Our high priest serves in the Most Holy Place. {\cf2\super [78]} He serves in the true place of worship {\cf2\super [79]} that was made by God, not by people.

The work that these priests do is really only a copy and a shadow of the things that are in heaven. That is why God warned Moses {\cf2\super [82]} when Moses was ready to build the Holy Tent {\cf2\super [83]} : “Be sure to make everything exactly like the pattern I showed you on the mountain.” {\cf2\super [84]}

This place was inside a tent. The first area in the tent was called the Holy Place. In the Holy Place were the lamp and the table with the special bread offered to God.

This is an example for us today. This shows that the gifts and sacrifices {\cf2\super [103]} that were offered to God were not able to fully cleanse the person who was worshiping God. Those sacrifices could not make that person perfect in his heart.
