Daniel 4:32 - Easy To Read Version

32 You will be forced to go away from people. You will live with the wild animals. You will eat grass like a cow. Seven seasons (years) will pass before you learn your lesson. Then you will learn that God Most High rules over the kingdoms of men. And that God Most High gives kingdoms to anyone he wants.”

Manasseh prayed to God and begged God to help him. The Lord heard Manasseh’s begging and felt sorry for him. The Lord let him return to Jerusalem and to his throne. Then Manasseh knew that the Lord was the true God.


“Lord, I know you can do everything.\par You make plans, and nothing\par can change or stop your plans.\par


If God takes something away,\par no one can stop him.\par No one can say to him,\par ‘What are you doing?’\par


God is in heaven,\par and he does whatever he wants.\par


The Lord does anything he wants,\par in heaven and earth,\par in the seas and deep oceans.\par


If you don’t do this, then I will use my full power against you, your officials, and your people. Then you will know that there is no god in the world like me.


Moses told Pharaoh, “When I leave the city, I will lift my arms in prayer to the Lord. And the thunder and hail will stop. Then you will know that the Lord is in this land.

He changes the times and seasons.\par And he changes the kings.\par He gives power to kings,\par and he takes their power away!\par He gives wisdom to people\par so they become wise,\par He lets people learn things\par and become wise.\par


The words were still in his mouth when a voice came from heaven. The voice said, “King Nebuchadnezzar, these things will happen to you: Your power as king has been taken away from you.


Then Nebuchadnezzar was forced to go away from people. His mind became like the mind of an animal. He lived with the wild donkeys and ate grass like a cow. He became wet with dew. {\cf2\super [59]} These things happened to him until he learned his lesson. Then he learned that God Most High rules over the kingdoms of men. And God Most High sets anyone he wants over kingdoms.
