People praise a wise man. But people don’t respect a stupid person.


\{But the Lord says,\}\par “Your people have died,\par but they will live again.\par The bodies of my people\par will rise from death.\par Dead people in the ground,\par stand and be happy!\par The dew covering you is like\par the dew sparkling in the light of a new day.\par It shows a new time is coming when the earth\par will give up the dead people\par that are in it.”\par


“\{These people will be in my holy city.\} And if they go out \{of the city\} they will see the dead bodies of the people that sinned against me. \{There will be worms in those bodies\}—and the worms will never die. \{Fires will burn those bodies\}—and the fires will never stop.”


But the Lord is with me.\par The Lord is like a strong soldier.\par So the people that are chasing me will fall.\par Those people will not defeat me.\par Those people will fail.\par They will be disappointed.\par Those people will be ashamed.\par And people will never forget that shame.\par


So, speak to them for me. Tell them the Lord and Master says these things, ‘My people, I will open your graves and bring you up out of your graves! Then I will bring you to the land of Israel.


“I will save them from the grave!\par I will rescue them from death!\par Death, where are your diseases?\par Grave, where is your power?\par I am not looking for revenge!\par


“Then those bad people will go away. They will have punishment forever. But the good people will go and have life forever.”


I have the same hope in God that these Jews have—the hope that all people, good and bad, will be raised from death.


The man that makes the jar can make anything he wants to make. He can use the same clay to make different things. He can make one thing for special purposes and another thing for daily use.


We believe that Jesus died. But we believe that Jesus rose again. So, because of Jesus, God will raise to be with Jesus those people who have died.


And I saw the people that had died, great and small, standing before the throne. And the book of life was opened. There were also other books opened. These dead people were judged by the things they had done. These things are written in the books.
