The Lord said to himself, “Should I tell Abraham the thing that I will now do?


So God said to Noah, “All people have filled the earth with anger and violence. So I will destroy all living things. I will remove them from the earth.


King Josiah said, “Go and ask the Lord what we should do. Ask the Lord for me, for the people, and for all Judah. Ask about the words of this book that was found. The Lord is angry at us. Why? Because our ancestors [272] did not listen to the words of this book. They did not obey all the commands that were written for us!”


‘I will bring you to be with your ancestors. [276] You will die and go to your grave in peace. So your eyes will not see all the trouble that I am bringing on this place (Jerusalem).’”


One of the officers of the king of Aram said, “My lord and king, not one of us is a spy! Elisha, the prophet from Israel, can tell the king of Israel {many secret things— even} the words that you speak in your bedroom!”


The Lord tells his secrets to his followers.\par He teaches his Agreement {\cf2\super [153]} to them.\par


The Lord said, “I will be in the place prepared for me. {\cf2\super [185]} I will quietly watch these things happen:


If they had stood in my heavenly council,\par then they would have told my messages\par to the people of Judah.\par They would have stopped the people\par from doing bad things.\par They would have stopped them\par from doing evil.”\par


“On that day I will make the family of Israel strong. Then \{Ezekiel,\} I will let you speak to them so they will know that I am the Lord.”


“‘Now then, Daniel, I tell you the truth: three more kings will rule in Persia. Then a fourth king will come. That fourth king will be much richer than all the other kings of Persia before him. That fourth king will use his riches to get power. And he will cause everyone to be against the kingdom of Greece.


Then the king said to Daniel, “I know for sure your God is the most important and powerful God. And he is the Lord of all the kings. He tells people about things they can’t know. I know this is true because you were able to tell these secret things to me.”


I don’t call you servants now. A servant does not know what his master is doing. But now I call you friends because I have told you everything I heard from my Father.


This is the revelation {\cf2\super [1]} of Jesus Christ. God gave Jesus these things to show his servants what must happen soon. Christ sent his angel to show these things to his servant John.


So write the things you see. Write the things that happen now and the things that will happen later.


In the days when the seventh angel is ready to blow his trumpet, God’s secret plan will be finished. This plan is the Good News {\cf2\super [75]} God told to his servants, the prophets. {\cf2\super [76]} ”


Then I looked, and there before me was an open door in heaven. And I heard the same voice that spoke to me before. It was the voice that sounded like a trumpet. The voice said, “Come up here, and I will show you what must happen after this.”
