9 \{Yes, God did all these things.\} So the Lord \{God\} will always save the people who serve him. He will save them when troubles come. And the Lord will hold evil people and punish them while waiting for the day of judgment.

Evil people are spared\par when disaster comes.\par They survive when God shows his anger.\par


He will save you from six troubles.\par Yes, might endure seven disasters\par and not be hurt!\par


Save \{me\} Lord!\par The good people are all gone.\par There are no true believers left among\par all the people on earth. {\cf2\super [67]} \par


For this reason, God, all your followers should pray to you.\par Your followers should pray even when troubles come like a great flood.\par


The Lord will not abandon good people\par when they are trapped by bad people.\par God will not let good people\par be judged guilty.\par


You know that the Lord listens\par to his good people.\par So the Lord hears me when I pray to him.\par


An evil person says foolish things and is trapped by his words. But a good person escapes from that kind of trouble.


The Lord has a plan for everything. And in the Lord’s plan, evil people will be destroyed.


I tell you the truth. On the judgment day it will be worse for that town than for the towns of Sodom and Gomorrah. {\cf2\super [127]}


Don’t let us be tempted (tested);\par but save us from the Evil One\par (the devil).’ {\cf2\super [77]} \par


But you people are hard and stubborn. You refuse to change. So you are making your own punishment greater and greater. You will get that punishment on the day when God will show his anger. On that day people will see God’s right judgments.


The only temptations that you have are the same temptations that all people have. But you can trust God. He will not let you be tempted more than you can bear. But when you are tempted, God will also give you a way to escape that temptation. Then you will be able to endure it.


Every person who wants to live the way God wants, in Christ Jesus, will be persecuted.


He gave himself for us. He died to free us from all evil. He died to make us pure people that belong only to him—people that are always wanting to do good things.


When angels sinned, God did not let them go free without punishment. No! God sent them to hell. God put those angels in caves of darkness. They are being held there until the judgment.


And that same word \{of God\} is keeping the skies and the earth that we have now. The skies and the earth are being kept to be destroyed by fire. The skies and the earth are kept for the day of judgment and the destruction of all people who are against God.


You followed my command to endure patiently. So I will keep you from the time of trouble that will come to the whole world. This trouble will test the people who live on the earth.


Early in the morning, you and your men should go back to the city I gave you. Don’t pay attention to the bad things the captains say about you. You are a good man. So leave as soon as the sun comes up.”
