The land of the people of Canaan was from Sidon in the north to Gerar in the south, from Gaza in the west to Sodom and Gomorrah in the east, from Admah and Zeboiim to Lasha.


They took the animals that belonged to the Hagrite people. They took 50,000 camels, 250,000 sheep, 2,000 donkeys, and 100,000 people.


Shishak had 12,000 chariots, 60,000 horse riders, and an army that no person could count. In Shishak’s large army there were Libyan soldiers, Sukkite soldiers, and Ethiopian soldiers.


Then the men in Abijah’s army shouted. When the men of Judah shouted, God defeated Jeroboam’s army. All of Jeroboam’s army from Israel were defeated by Abijah’s army from Judah.


At that time they sacrificed {\cf2\super [187]} 700 bulls and 7,000 sheep and goats to the Lord. Asa’s army had taken those animals and other valuable things from their enemies.


As those men began to sing and to praise God, the Lord set an ambush {\cf2\super [232]} for the people of Ammon, Moab, and Mount Seir. Those were the people that came to attack Judah. Those people were beaten.

After 430 years, to the very day, all the armies of the Lord [76] left Egypt.


The wheels of the chariots became stuck. It was very hard to control the chariots. The Egyptians shouted, “Let’s get out of here! The Lord is fighting against us. The Lord is fighting for the people of Israel.”


But we thank God! He gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.


So I run like a person that has a goal. I fight like a boxer that is hitting something—not just the air.


“The Lord will help you defeat your enemies that come to fight against you. Your enemies will come against you one way, but they will run away from you seven different ways!


“‘Now, see that I and only I am God! There is no other God! I put people to death and I let people live. I can hurt people, and I can make them well. No one can save another person from my power!


The Lord caused those armies to be very confused when Israel attacked. So Israel defeated them and won a great victory. Israel chased the enemy from Gibeon on the road going to Beth Horon. The army of Israel killed men all the way to Azekah and Makkedah.
