2 Chronicles 14:13 - Easy To Read Version

13 Asa’s army chased the Ethiopian army all the way to the town of Gerar. So many Ethiopians were killed that they could not get together as an army to fight again. They were crushed by the Lord and his army. Asa and his army carried many valuable things away from the enemy.

Asa and his army defeated all the towns near Gerar. The people living in those towns were afraid of the Lord. Those towns had very many valuable things. Asa’s army took those valuable things away from those towns.


At that time they sacrificed {\cf2\super [187]} 700 bulls and 7,000 sheep and goats to the Lord. Asa’s army had taken those animals and other valuable things from their enemies.


The nations near Judah were afraid of the Lord. That is why they did not start a war against Jehoshaphat.


All the kingdoms in all the countries feared the Lord because they heard that the Lord fought against Israel’s enemies.


I wish God would crush me,\par just go ahead and kill me!\par


God is very wise\par and his power is very great.\par No person can fight God and not be hurt.\par


God, \{only you can help me do these things\}.\par But you left us!\par You did not go with our army!\par


Those people will be punished with a destruction that continues forever. They will not be allowed to be with the Lord. Those people will be kept away from his great power.


The man answered, “I am not an enemy. I am the commander of the Lord’s army. I have just now come to you.”


Please forgive me for doing wrong. I know the Lord will make your family strong! The Lord will do this because you fight his battles. People will never find anything bad about you as long as you live!
