And the years of Ismael's life were a hundred and thirty-seven: and decaying he died, and was gathered unto his people.


And decaying he died in a good old age, having lived a long time, and being full of days: and was gathered to his people.


In the sweat of thy face shalt thou eat bread till thou return to the earth, out of which thou wast taken: for dust thou art, and into dust thou shalt return.


But man when he shall be dead, and stripped and consumed, I pray you where is he?


Shall man that is dead, thinkest thou, live again? All the days in which I am now in warfare, I expect until my change come.


If I wait hell is my house: and I have made my bed in darkness.


But yet thou stretchest not forth thy hand to their consumption: and if they shall fall down thou wilt save.


All flesh shall perish together: and man shall return into ashes.


As a cloud is consumed, and passeth away: so he that shall go down to hell shall not come up.


Bringing forth grass for cattle, and herb for the service of men. That thou mayst bring bread out of the earth:


He turned their waters into blood, and destroyed their fish.


Offer to God the sacrifice of praise: and pay thy vows to the most High.


And the dust return into its earth, from whence it was, and the spirit return to God, who gave it.


Who knoweth if the spirit of the children of Adam ascend upward, and if the spirit of the beasts descend downward?


Although he lived two thousand years, and hath not enjoyed good things: do not all make haste to one place?


A good name is better than precious ointments: and the day of death than the day of one's birth.


Whatsoever thy hand is able to do, do it earnestly: for neither work, nor reason, nor wisdom, nor knowledge shall be in hell, whither thou art hastening.


And when thou shalt have seen it, thou also shalt go to thy people, as thy brother Aaron is gone.
