Tying his foal to the vineyard, and his ass, O my son, to the vine. He shall wash his robe in wine, and his garment in the blood of the grape.


And they entered into the house secretly taking ears of corn and Rechab and Baana his brother stabbed him in the groin, and fled away.


And Solomon allowed Hiram twenty thousand measures of wheat, for provision for his house, and twenty measures of the purest oil. Thus gave Solomon to Hiram every year.


Till I come, and take you away to a land, like to your own land, a fruitful land, and plentiful in wine, a land of bread and vineyards, a land of olives, and oil and honey; and you shall live, and not die. Hearken not to Ezechias, who deceiveth you, saying: The Lord will deliver us.


Who hath placed peace in thy borders: and filleth thee with the fat of corn.


And it shall come to pass in that day that every place where there were a thousand vines, at a thousand pieces of silver shall become thorns and briers.


And I brought you into the land of Carmel, to eat the fruit thereof and the best things thereof: and when ye entered in, you defiled my land and made my inheritance an abomination.


And they shall eat up thy corn and thy bread: they shall devour thy sons and thy daughters: they shall eat up thy flocks and thy herds: they shall eat thy vineyards and thy figs: and with the sword they shall destroy thy strong cities, wherein thou trustest.


Juda and the land of Israel, they were thy merchants with the best corn: they set forth balm and honey and oil and rosin in thy fairs.


And the earth shall hear the core, and the wine, and the oil, and these shall hear Jezrahel.


And she did not know that I gave her corn and wine, and oil, and multiplied her silver, and gold, which they have used in the service of Baal.


And every man shall sit under his vine, and under his fig tree, and there shall be none to make them afraid: for the mouth of the Lord of hosts hath spoken.


For the fig tree shall not blossom: and there shall be no spring in the vines. The labour of the olive tree shall fail: and the fields shall yield no food: the flock shall be cut off from the fold, and there shall be no herd in the stalls.


And they went up at the south side, and came to Hebron, where were Achiman and Sisai and Tholmai, the sons of Enac. For Hebron was built seven years before Tanis the city of Egypt.


They gathered up therefore, and filled twelve baskets with the fragments of the five barley loaves, which remained over and above to them that had eaten.


There is a boy here that hath five barley loaves, and two fishes; but what are these among so many?


He set him upon high land: that he might eat the fruits of the fields, that he might suck honey out of the rock, and oil out of the hardest stone,


Butter of the herd, and milk of the sheep with the fat of lambs, and of the rams of the breed of Basan. And goats with the marrow of wheat, and might drink the purest blood of the grape.


Hear, O Israel, and observe to do the things which the Lord hath commanded thee, that it may be well with thee, and thou mayst be greatly multiplied: as the Lord the God of thy fathers hath promised thee a land flowing with milk and honey.


For the Lord thy God will bring thee into a good land, of brooks and of waters, and of fountains: in the plains of which and the hills deep rivers break out:


Where without any want thou shalt eat thy bread, and enjoy abundance of all things: where the stones are iron, and out of its hills are dug mines of brass.
