Then he came to the disciples and said to them, ‘Are you still sleeping and resting? See, the time is near. The Son of Man is betrayed into the hands of sinners.


While he was still speaking, Judas, one of the Twelve, suddenly arrived.  A large mob with swords and clubs was with him from the chief priests and elders of the people.


Get up;   let’s go. See, my betrayer is near.’


But I have a baptism to undergo,   and how it consumes   me until it is finished!


Then he said to them, ‘I have fervently desired to eat this Passover with you before I suffer.


But   look, the hand of the one betraying me is at the table with me.


When the days were coming to a close for him to be taken up,  he determined  , to journey to Jerusalem.


On the contrary, so that the world may know that I love the Father, I do as the Father commanded me. ‘Get up; let’s leave this place.


So Peter turned round and saw the disciple Jesus loved  following them, the one who had leaned back against Jesus at the supper and asked, ‘Lord, who is the one that’s going to betray you? ’


Then Paul replied, ‘What are you doing, weeping and breaking my heart? For I am ready not only to be bound but also to die in Jerusalem for the name of the Lord Jesus.’
