Then he cometh to his disciples, and saith to them: Sleep ye now and take your rest; behold the hour is at hand, and the Son of man shall be betrayed into the hands of sinners.


As he yet spoke, behold Judas, one of the twelve, came, and with him a great multitude with swords and clubs, sent from the chief priests and the ancients of the people.


Rise up, let us go. Behold, he that will betray me is at hand.


And I have a baptism wherewith I am to be baptized: and how am I straitened until it be accomplished?


And he said to them: With desire I have desired to eat this pasch with you, before I suffer.


But yet behold, the hand of him that betrayeth me is with me on the table.


And it came to pass, when the days of his assumption were accomplishing, that he steadfastly set his face to go to Jerusalem.


But that the world may know, that I love the Father: and as the Father hath given me commandment, so do I: Arise, let us go hence.


Peter turning about, saw that disciple whom Jesus loved following, who also leaned on his breast at supper, and said: Lord, who is he that shall betray thee?


Then Paul answered, and said: What do you mean weeping and afflicting my heart? For I am ready not only to be bound, but to die also in Jerusalem, for the name of the Lord Jesus.


And when the Philistine arose and was coming, and drew nigh to meet David, David made haste, and ran to the fight to meet the Philistine.
