‘In fact, God knows that when  you eat it your eyes will be opened and you will be like God, knowing good and evil.’


‘You must not blaspheme God  or curse a leader among your people.


There is a generation that curses its father and does not bless its mother.


As for the eye that ridicules a father and despises obedience to a mother, may ravens of the valley pluck it out and young vultures eat it.


Do not curse the king even in your thoughts, and do not curse a rich person even in your bedroom, for a bird of the sky may carry the message, and a winged creature may report the matter.


They came together against Moses and Aaron and told them, ‘You have gone too far! Everyone in the entire community is holy, and the Lord is among them.  Why then do you exalt yourselves above the Lord’s assembly? ’


Returning, it finds the house swept and put in order.


Whenever   they bring you before synagogues and rulers and authorities,   don’t worry   about how you should defend   yourselves or what you should say.


‘But his subjects hated him and sent a delegation after him, saying, “We don’t want this man to rule over us.”

If anyone destroys God’s temple, God will destroy him;  for God’s temple is holy,  and that is what you are.


Consequently, anyone who rejects this does not reject man, but God, who gives you his Holy Spirit.


for the sexually immoral  and males who have sex with males,  for slave traders, liars,  perjurers, and for whatever else is contrary to the sound teaching


Obey your leaders  and submit to them, since they keep watch  over your souls as those who will give an account, so that they can do this with joy and not with grief, for that would be unprofitable for you.


Honour everyone. Love  the brothers and sisters.  Fear God.  Honour the emperor.
