Uzziah provided the entire army with shields, spears, helmets, armour, bows, and slingstones.


From that day on, half of my men did the work while the other half held spears, shields, bows, and armour.  The officers supported all the people of Judah,


Band together,  peoples, and be broken; pay attention, all you distant lands; prepare for war, and be broken; prepare for war, and be broken.


Announce it in Egypt, and proclaim it in Migdol! Proclaim it in Memphis and in Tahpanhes! Say, ‘Take positions! Prepare yourself, for the sword devours all around you.’


Sharpen the arrows! Fill the quivers! The Lord has roused the spirit of the kings of the Medes because his plan is aimed at Babylon to destroy her, for it is the  Lord’s vengeance, vengeance for his temple.
