The sceptre will not depart from Judah or the staff from between his feet until he whose right it is comes  , and the obedience of the peoples belongs to him.


God is enthroned above the circle of the earth; its inhabitants are like grasshoppers. He stretches out the heavens like thin cloth and spreads them out like a tent to live in.


Do you not know? Have you not heard? The Lord is the everlasting God, the Creator of the whole earth. He never becomes faint or weary; there is no limit to his understanding.


The coasts and islands see and are afraid, the whole earth trembles. They approach and arrive.


Sing a new song to the  Lord; sing his praise from the ends of the earth, you who go down to the sea with all that fills it, you coasts and islands with your   inhabitants.


Let them give glory to the  Lord and declare his praise in the coasts and islands.


Because of his righteousness, the Lord was pleased to magnify his instruction and make it glorious.


Coasts and islands,  listen to me; distant peoples, pay attention. The Lord called  me before I was born. He named me while I was in my mother’s womb.


Pay attention to me, my people, and listen to me, my nation; for instruction will come from me, and my justice for a light to the nations. I will bring it about quickly.


My righteousness is near, my salvation appears, and my arms will bring justice to the nations. The coasts and islands will put their hope in me, and they will look to my strength.


so you will summon a nation you do not know, and nations who do not know you will run to you. For the Lord your God, even the Holy One of Israel, has glorified you.’


Yes, the coasts and islands will wait for me with the ships of Tarshish in the lead, to bring your children from far away, their silver and gold with them, for the honour of the  Lord your God, the Holy One of Israel, who has glorified you.


I will establish a sign among them, and I will send survivors from them to the nations #– #to Tarshish, Put,  Lud (who are archers), Tubal, Javan,  and the coasts and islands far away #– #who have not heard about me or seen my glory. And they will proclaim my glory among the nations.


The dominion will be vast, and its prosperity will never end. He will reign on the throne of David and over his kingdom, to establish and sustain it with justice and righteousness from now on and for ever. The zeal of the Lord of Armies will accomplish this.


Seventy weeks are decreed about your people and your holy city – to bring the rebellion to an end, to put a stop to sin, to atone for iniquity, to bring in everlasting righteousness, to seal up vision and prophecy, and to anoint the most holy place.


‘Many nations will join themselves to the Lord on that day and become my  people.  I will dwell among you, and you will know that the Lord of Armies has sent me to you.


The nations will put their hope in his name.   ,


He told the man with the shrivelled hand, ‘Stand before us.’


but now revealed and made known through the prophetic Scriptures,  according to the command of the eternal God to advance the obedience of faith  among all the Gentiles #– #


To those who are without the law,  like one without the law #– #though I am not without God’s law but under the law of Christ #– #to win those without the law.
