Then Jacob called his sons and said, ‘Gather round, and I will tell you what will happen to you in the days to come.  ,


In  the last days the mountain of the  Lord’s house  will be established at the top of the mountains and will be raised above the hills. All nations will stream to it,


This is what the Lord, your Redeemer  who formed you from the womb,  says: I am the Lord, who made everything; who stretched out the heavens by myself; who alone spread out the earth;


I made the earth, and created humans on it. It was my hands that stretched out the heavens, and I commanded everything in them.


For this is what the  Lord  says – the Creator of the heavens, the God who formed the earth and made it, the one who established it (he did not create it to be a wasteland, but formed it to be inhabited)   – he says, ‘I am the Lord, and there is no other.


The Lord’s burning anger will not turn back until he has completely fulfilled the purposes of his heart. In time to come you will understand it.


Yet I will restore the fortunes  of Moab in the last days. This is the  Lord’s declaration. The judgement on Moab ends here.


You will advance against my people Israel like a cloud covering the land. It will happen in the last days, Gog, that I will bring you against my land so that the nations may know me, when I demonstrate my holiness through you in their sight.


Now I have come to help you understand what will happen to your people in the last days,  for the vision refers to those days.’


But there is a God in heaven who reveals mysteries, and he has let King Nebuchadnezzar know what will happen in the last days.  Your dream and the visions that came into your mind as you lay in bed  were these:


Afterwards, the people of Israel will return  and seek the Lord their God and David their king.  They will come with awe to the Lord   and to his goodness in the last days.


In the last days the mountain of the  Lord’s house will be established at the top of the mountains and will be raised above the hills. Peoples will stream to it,


Now I am going back to my people, but first, let me warn you what these people will do to your people in the future.’


and the enemy who sowed them is the devil. The harvest is the end of the age, and the harvesters are angels.


While he was still speaking, suddenly a bright cloud covered  them, and a voice from the cloud said, ‘This is my beloved Son, with whom I am well-pleased. Listen to him! ’


‘But when the tenant farmers saw the son, they said to each other, “This is the heir. Come, let’s kill him and take his inheritance.”


But  Jesus kept silent.  The high priest said to him, ‘I charge you under oath  by the living God: Tell us if you are the Messiah, the Son of God.’


Jesus came near and said to them, ‘All authority has been given to me in heaven and on earth.


And a voice from heaven said, ‘This is my beloved Son, with whom I am well-pleased.’


The beginning  of the gospel  of Jesus Christ, the Son of God.  ,


He still had one to send, a beloved   son. Finally   he sent him to them, saying, “They will respect my son.”


But those tenant farmers said to one another, “This is the heir. Come, let’s kill him, and the inheritance will be ours.”


He was in the world, and the world was created  through him, and yet the world did not recognise him.


The Word  became flesh  and dwelt  among us. We observed his glory,  the glory as the one and only  Son  from the Father, full of grace and truth.


All things were created  through him,  and apart from him not one thing was created that has been created.


Jesus knew that the Father had given everything into his hands,  that he had come from God,  and that he was going back to God.


If God is glorified in him,   God will also glorify him in himself and will glorify him at once.


I do not call you servants any more, because a servant doesn’t know what his master   , is doing. I have called you friends, because I have made known to you everything I have heard from my Father.


Everything the Father   has is mine.   This is why I told you that he takes from what is mine and will declare it to you.


since you gave him authority over all people,   , so that he may give eternal life   to everyone you have given him.


For God loved   the world in this way:   He gave   his one and only   Son,   so that everyone who believes in him will not perish but have eternal life.


Then a dispute arose between John’s disciples  and a Jew  about purification.


For just as the Father has life in himself, so also he has granted to the Son   to have life in himself.


And he has granted him the right to pass judgement,   because he is the Son of Man.


We know that God has spoken to Moses. But this man #– #we don’t know where he’s from.’


He sent the message to the Israelites, proclaiming the good news of peace through Jesus Christ #– #he is Lord of all.


And it will be in the last days, says God, that I will pour out my Spirit on all people; then your sons and your daughters will prophesy, your young men will see visions, and your old men will dream dreams.


and was appointed to be the powerful  Son of God  according to the Spirit of holiness  by the resurrection of the dead.


and if children, also heirs   #– #heirs of God and co-heirs with Christ #– #if indeed we suffer with him  so that we may also be glorified with him.


On the contrary, we speak God’s hidden wisdom in a mystery, a wisdom God predestined  before the ages for our glory.


yet for us there is one God, the Father.  All things are from him,  and we exist for him. And there is one Lord, Jesus Christ. All things are through him, and we exist through him.


When the time came to completion, God sent his Son,  born of a woman,  born under the law,


as a plan for the right time   #– #to bring everything together in Christ,  both things in heaven and things on earth  in him.


and to shed light for all about the administration of the mystery hidden for ages in God who created  all things.


‘The Lord your God will raise up for you a prophet like me from among your own brothers.  You must listen to him.


For I know that after my death you will become completely corrupt and turn from the path I have commanded you. Disaster will come to you in the future, because you will do what is evil in the Lord’s sight, angering him with what your hands have made.’


When you are in distress and all these things have happened to you, in the future you will return to the Lord your God and obey him.


For to which of the angels did he ever say, You are my Son; today I have become your Father,   , or again, I will be his Father, and he will be my Son?  ,


but to  the Son: Your throne, God, is for ever and ever, and the sceptre of your kingdom is a sceptre of justice.


By faith we understand that the universe was  created by the word of God,  so that what is seen was made from things that are not visible.


how will we escape if we neglect such a great salvation?  This salvation had its beginning when it was spoken of by the Lord, and it was confirmed to us by those who heard him.


But Christ was faithful as a Son over his household. And we are that household if we hold on to our confidence and the hope in which we boast.  ,


Therefore, since we have a great high priest who has passed through the heavens #– #Jesus the Son of God #– #let us hold fast to our confession.


Although he was the Son, he learned obedience from what he suffered.


For the law appoints as high priests men who are weak, but the promise of the oath, which came after the law, appoints a Son,  who has been perfected  for ever.


Without father, mother, or genealogy, having neither beginning of days nor end of life, but resembling the Son of God,  he remains a priest for ever.


Otherwise, he would have had to suffer many times since the foundation of the world. But now he has appeared once, at the end of the ages,  for the removal of sin by the sacrifice of himself.


He was foreknown  before the foundation of the world but was revealed in these last times  for you.


Above all, be aware of this: Scoffers will come in the last days  scoffing and following their own evil desires,


They told you, ‘In the end time  there will be scoffers  living according to their own ungodly desires.’
