I will put hostility between you and the woman, and between your offspring and her offspring. He will strike your head, and you will strike his heel.


And the Lord said, ‘My Spirit will not remain  with  mankind for ever,  because they are corrupt.  , Their days will be 120 years.’


After this I will pour out my Spirit  on all humanity; then your sons and your daughters will prophesy, your old men will have dreams, and your young men will see visions.


to Abraham and his descendants   for ever, just as he spoke to our ancestors.


He has dealt mercifully with our ancestors and remembered his holy covenant   –


Then beginning with Moses  and all the Prophets,  he interpreted for them the things concerning himself in all the Scriptures.


He told them, ‘These are my words   that I spoke to you while I was still with you #– #that everything written about me in the Law of Moses, the Prophets,   and the Psalms   must be fulfilled.’


When the Spirit of truth   comes, he will guide you into all the truth.   For he will not speak on his own, but he will speak whatever he hears. He will also declare to you what is to come.


‘This is why Moses has given you circumcision   #– #not that it comes from Moses but from the fathers   #– #and you circumcise a man on the Sabbath.


We know that God has spoken to Moses. But this man #– #we don’t know where he’s from.’


And we ourselves proclaim to you the good news of the promise that was made to our ancestors.


Since he was a prophet, he knew that God had sworn an oath to him to seat one of his descendants  on his throne.


After arranging a day with him, many came to him at his lodging. From dawn to dusk he expounded and testified about the kingdom of God. He tried to persuade them about Jesus from both the Law of Moses and the Prophets.


Heaven must receive him until the time of the restoration of all things, which God spoke about through his holy prophets from the beginning.


the one to whom it had been said, Your offspring   will be traced through Isaac.   ,


For by this our ancestors were approved.


See to it that you do not reject the one who speaks. For if they did not escape when they rejected him who warned them on earth, even less will we if we turn away from him who warns us from heaven.


For if the message spoken through angels was legally binding  , and every transgression and disobedience received a just punishment,


how will we escape if we neglect such a great salvation?  This salvation had its beginning when it was spoken of by the Lord, and it was confirmed to us by those who heard him.


Moses was faithful as a servant  in all God’s household, as a testimony to what would be said in the future.


For if Joshua  had given them rest, God would not have spoken later about another day.


In the same way, Christ did not exalt himself to become a high priest, but God who said to him, You are my Son; today I have become your Father,   ,,


For when every command had been proclaimed by Moses to all the people according to the law, he took the blood of calves and goats,  along with water, scarlet wool, and hyssop, and sprinkled the scroll itself and all the people,
