Then Solomon stood  before the altar of the Lord in front of the entire congregation of Israel and spread out his hands towards heaven.


every prayer or petition that any person or that all your people Israel may have – they each know their own affliction  ,  – as they spread out their hands towards this temple,


When Solomon finished praying this entire prayer and petition to the Lord, he got up from kneeling before the altar of the Lord, with his hands spread out towards heaven,


For Solomon had made a bronze platform 2.25 metres  long, 2.25 metres wide, and 1.35 metres  high and put it in the court. He stood on it,  knelt down in front of the entire congregation of Israel, and spread out his hands towards heaven.


When I heard these words, I sat down and wept. I mourned for a number of days, fasting and praying  before the God of the heavens.


Moses said to him, ‘When I have left the city, I will spread out my hands  to the Lord. The thunder will cease, and there will be no more hail, so that you may know the earth  , belongs to the Lord.
