When Jesus had finished saying these things,  the crowds were astonished at his teaching,


because Herod feared  John and protected him, knowing he was a righteous  and holy  man. When Herod heard him he would be very perplexed,  , and yet he liked to listen to him.


So he summoned one of the servants, questioning what these things meant.


Hearing a crowd passing by, he enquired what was happening.


While Peter was deeply perplexed about what the vision he had seen might mean, straight away the men who had been sent by Cornelius, having asked directions to Simon’s house, stood at the gate.


Because what you say sounds strange to us, and we want to know what these things mean.’

They were astounded and amazed, saying,  ‘Look, aren’t all these who are speaking Galileans?
