not to the many peoples of unintelligible speech or a difficult language, whose words you cannot understand. No doubt, if I sent you to them, they would listen to you.


‘Woe to you, Chorazin!   Woe to you, Bethsaida!   For if the miracles that were done in you had been done in Tyre and Sidon,   they would have repented in sackcloth and ashes long ago.


But many who are first will be last, and the last first.


As he was telling them these things,  suddenly one of the leaders came and knelt down before him, saying, ‘My daughter has just died,  but come and lay your hand on her, and she will live.’


So I immediately sent for you, and it was good of you to come. So now we are all in the presence of God to hear everything you have been commanded by the Lord.’


They continued their journey from Perga and reached Pisidian Antioch. On the Sabbath day they went into the synagogue and sat down.


Therefore, let it be known to you that this salvation of God has been sent to the Gentiles; they will listen.’
