The surviving remnant  of the house of Judah will again take root downwards and bear fruit upwards.


and the Lord sent an angel who annihilated every valiant warrior, leader, and commander in the camp of the king of Assyria. So the king of Assyria returned in disgrace to his land. He went to the temple of his god, and there some of his own children struck him down with the sword.


For the Lord is our Judge, the Lord is our Lawgiver, the Lord is our King. He will save us.


The Lord will always lead you, satisfy you in a parched land, and strengthen your bones. You will be like a watered garden and like a spring whose water never runs dry.


But I will have compassion on the house of Judah, and I will deliver them by the  Lord  their God. I will not deliver them by bow, sword, or war, or by horses and cavalry.


When the Spirit of truth   comes, he will guide you into all the truth.   For he will not speak on his own, but he will speak whatever he hears. He will also declare to you what is to come.


May the Lord direct your hearts to God’s love and Christ’s endurance.


So the Lord saved Israel that day. The battle extended beyond Beth-aven,
