They took their stand  against King Uzziah and said, ‘Uzziah, you have no right to offer incense to the Lord    #– #only the consecrated priests, the descendants of Aaron, have the right to offer incense.  Leave the sanctuary, for you have acted unfaithfully! You will not receive honour from the Lord God.’


Therefore, the wrath of the Lord was on Judah and Jerusalem, and he made them an object of terror, horror, and mockery,  , as you see with your own eyes.


‘Therefore say to the house of Israel, “This is what the Lord God says: Are you defiling yourselves the way your ancestors did,  and prostituting yourselves with their abhorrent things?
