Hear these things, all nations. Pay attention, all inhabitants of the world:


O Lord, God of my salvation: I have cried out, day and night, in your presence.


For the Lord is sweet, his mercy is in eternity, and his truth is from generation to generation.


Thus says the Lord: Heaven is my throne, and the earth is my footstool. What is this house that you would build for me? And what is this place of my rest?


Cursed is the deceitful, who holds in his flock a male, and, when making a vow, offers in sacrifice that which is feeble to the Lord. For I am a great King, says the Lord of hosts, and my name is dreadful among the Gentiles.


Neither shall you swear an oath by your own head, because you are not able to cause one hair to become white or black.


'Heaven is my throne, and the earth is my footstool. What kind of house would you build for me? says the Lord. And which is my resting place?


And he took me up in spirit to a great and high mountain. And he showed me the Holy City Jerusalem, descending out of heaven from God,


And I, John, saw the Holy City, the New Jerusalem, descending out of heaven from God, prepared like a bride adorned for her husband.
